WoW! Just came back from training after 2 weeks of stupid break =X tsktsk!
Minus the boring lectures today, it's real fun! Today training is alright. Leant uchimata and I admit I can't do a nice uchi. Kept wanting to do a harai. Guess the harai thing is stuck in me. haha! Crap la! But I really used to want to learnt uchimata a lot but Cherly was like insisting me to learn harai goshi first so there is it... haha!
So after training, xueling, rebecca, jeslin and I followed Sulaiman's car to this dojo in Lavander as he had actually to help us find a place for trainings outside school. The trainings in ny are really quite little compared to the other jcs. Furthermore the Kyu Grade competition is in January and the training in December is so so minimium!
Arrived there pretty early as their Judo lesson starts at 7pm...
Slack, talk cock, slack...
Okay, the place is really conducive. Air-conned
room rather than a
place. As it was still early for the lesson to start, we played this thing which i forgot the name already la! It's like a 'sword' but it's made of rubber and you have to put on this helmet and there you go! Fight la! The 'sword' totally looks like a light sabre! haha! But it's soft and wouldn't hurt at all! =) Very cool lo!!!
We decided to join their training afterall. It first started off with warm-up. This is like the first time I realise warm-up can be fun too! Be actaully played Passing the Ball in th dojo! You just have to keep passing this smiley rubber ball to you team mates over and over again until the time is up. If you group doesn't get the ball in the end of the game you do 5 push-ups. Simple. Sul and the 4 of us a team. We total played 4 sets of it, won 2. Interesting start =)
By the way, there's like 1 white belt guy, 2 yellow belts guys(both in secondary), 1 green belt guy, 1 black belt girl (mel, took part in SEA Games before) and Mr Lim (the owner but knows Judo too)
So what we did? Practise our gripping first. Partner with mel(black) then joshua (yellow). Their good lo! Even that joshua is good. My fingers were like so sore after that. haha! Got some tips and coaching from Mr Lim after the 2 sets. Then we did ground work. Did with Brandon (yellow) first. He's very small in size though he's 13. He's real agile. Escaped by grip quite often. Then later did with joshua again. Didn't know he's that strong lo. Got pinned down in less than a minute. He did scalf hold on me. A strong one that cause my neck to crack and got immobolise for a while. The hold is freaking good! Can't even move my head a bit! Oh man! So how can I bridge?! Got hold of his leg in the end but too late already. We were told to matae. My neck was freaking pain after that la! Almost wanted to cry for the first time during training. So can you imagine how strong are they?! Got like miny evaluation after that. Prett cool. Learnt a lot from the stuff Mr Lim mentioned. Did more ground work after that till it's time for cool down.
And the cool down isn't disappointing at all! Played aother game again! It's something like Tag. But instead of 'freeing' you friend my toucing him/her you go in between his/her legs. So is actually kinda tough. Played 3 sets of it. Nice! =)
It just came to me how bad my skills are actually in compared to the them today. Like totally drop a grade down lo! They're skillful and srong. Peifu! Really like that place a lot! Learnt a lot from the people there and it's an eye-opener to be I think. Beside competing and competing, Judo
can really be fun!!! Just hope that we can pay the fees through edusave and I would definitely go. tskstk!
xoxo
