This is the 2nd day of my so-called job attachment at Geylang Polyclinic in case anyone doesn't know. Yup, I'd signed up for the school job attachment thing under 'Medical Attachment'. The job attachment is more like us being Sai Kang Warriors (Shit Work Warriors if you translate it directly). And it's practically shit work! No kidding!

Day 1
Let me start of with the most interesting and most 'fascinating' 1st day of work...
Jes and I agreed to meet up at SengKang but not surprising, both of us were late thus reported late for job the very first day. The stuff we had to do there was quite unexpected actually. We are not actually working in a polyclinic but an elderly day care centre that happens to be the top for of the polyclinic. Chim right? haha! So it's more like taking care of the elderly and stuff. So much like an old folk's home but what we are supposed to do there is far more than that. There's a total of 13 of us this week to go down to help out. So we were being showed around by this Pilipino worker, Rosewana. She's real cute and nice. All of us were being assigned different task for each day. So it's more like rotating our task for the 5 days.
I don't know if I'm lucky or what cause Wei Xiang and I were being assigned to Home Care on my very first day and attached to Maria, another Pilipino worker. For Home Care right, we actually have to go to the patient's house to do bathing/cleaning, dressing of wound (if any), physiotherapy, etc. It's like Home Nursing in other words. I was pretty excited about it at first. It's the first time doing this kind of stuff. However Wei Xiang was pretty worried though he himself is also a SJAB officer but he said he doesn't do Home Nursing at all. Moreover he just break camp (his corp SJAB training camp) so he was damn shacked and tried.
Anyway, we headed to the first patient at Bedok, Abdul Shaharf aged 80+ and is half paralyzed due to stroke. Maria said he's one of the better-off patients she had to attend as he stays in a 4 room flat and his daughters and sons are very supportive of him. There's also a maid to attend to him and his wife. So Maria helped him to bathe while both of us watched. There's still quite ok. However he hasn't been shitting that day so Maria had to help him in that! She inserted to 2 pills right into his anus. She said the pills will helped him to shit and it does! However as he isn't really able to control his muscles, Maria thus comes in damn handy. At first Wei Xiang and me were like what she trying to do as she put on her gloves and lie the old man in his bed and took off his diapers (yes, most of the elderly there wear diapers). Then she suddenly stuck her index finger right into his anus! Ouch! And there she went practically digging the shit out! Oh man! The room stinks! And the fan wasn't off! Oh man! I almost wanted to faint there already! So continued her digging for like 20 minutes?! God! Her gloves are 'soiled' and she very funny also, kept saying her hands are too small can't dig out some of it as she could feel there's more of the bowels in there. Then said like the bowels are quite hard and there's more. Wah piang! Then the old man kept say "I'm shivering... I'm shivering..." According to Maria, it's quite normal as he has to put in a lot of energy to shit. The family is actually very nice though. They offered us drinks and snacks to eat after the physiotherapy was done.
The process is indeed gross but it's really an eye-opener. Really. Cause most of the others don't get to experience this when we asked around. I really kow tow to Maria lo! She damn pro and good! She's not afraid of getting herself dirty and I can see that she really enjoys her work a lot.
We got back to the centre after that while Maria continues her visit to Clementi and so on. There's nothing much to do back there actually. Too much man power I say. Until we were assigned some stupid administrative stuff to do. We had to made duplicate copies of the registration files for them and everything is damn messy lo! Spent quite a long time doing that. Thankfully the others joined in.

Went off for night training with Jes and Val. I was freaking off form. Sul kept criticizing on my harai goshi. I don't know if it was because I played with Randal. He's pretty short you see so it's kind of weird. Whatever it is, I suck on Monday's training. =(

Day2
I got up freaking late today as I was damn tired la! I was late again. Ok, I agree I'm petty. Just don't like people to stop me from doing things that's so minor. Rules are meant to be broken right? Be more flexible la! Kao! It doesn't hurt you if I sign in the same time as you guys right? Sickening bimbo. Too bad I just like to say what I want. Blehx!
Nytiana and I were assigned to follow the ambulance today. There're ambulance that's allocated for the centre for it to fetched the elderly there everyday. It's like a school bus actually but just that these 'pupils' sit on wheelchairs and are old. Tsktsk! It's pretty fun and time passed very quickly. Haha! We were attached to Uncle Vincent and another Uncle Moustache (don't know his name). Uncle Moustache is very nice. He tells us a lot of his experience and gives us precious advice on life. Damn jealous lo! He visited a LOT of countries before like Venice, Holland, Italy, France, etc. you name it he went there before lo! Cause he used to be working as an engineer in SIA so he got to travel a lot. So good right! But he's now half-retired so come to the centre to help.
All of us were told to make bookmarks for the centre so that they could sell it when Christmas is near. So yup, tomorrow has to start work and the book mark isn't easy to do. Got a lot of steps cause it's more like origami cum arts and crafts. Quite chim. It's because the ah ma who used to do the bookmarks was unfortunately being hospitalized so who have to helped to finished them.
Today is actually pretty fun. I'm more open to them today I think so it's easier to interact with them. I realize that these elderly though they aren't in the pink of health but some of them are real cute and nice. You would just laugh and the way they react and stuff they say =) But there's some you would really feel sad for them of course. Nobody wants to be like this. It's pretty sad and scary come to think of it. The thought of going old and your health deteriorating day by day it's quite sad. But that's life isn't it?

Train alone at lavender today. Ya, valmond went but he didn't play. He hurt his elbow yesterday while playing ground technique with Melvina. Got arm locked. Haha! Revenge for pulling her hair out! Tsktsk! Kidding! There's so much kids today! Mostly Caucasians. But I prefer today's training actually. There's more uchikumi and more sweating. Practiced on ippon seionage and kouchi gari together on different people. Pretty good feeling and some of the people are pretty pro and good. Kind of suck and the randori and ground part. Actually really sucky. Pissed off with myself as I think I'm not doing my best. I know I need to siam but I'm damn retard. And that's not only once. Sul also said I'm very stiff and rigid and that cause me to lose a point. He corrected my mistakes quite a lot today. Must learnt from my mistakes and not repeat them again in the future. I think today's training is really useful. Learnt a lot from myself I think. The stupid stuff I do and don't do during randori. Night training is really more on self reflection and correcting my errors. Sparring with the people there (mostly guys) has made me more open to what other people would do and open to different styles and techniques I think.

Argggg!!! There's suddenly so much stuff to settle and there isn't much time left! Damn!
Actually there isn't really much stuff to do just that I don't have any time next week due to my job attachment at the polyclinic. So yup.

Firstly, the bbq food is yet to be settled. I'm still waiting for Jes if her dad can give me a better price for the stingray. Can't wait for the bbq to come actually. Pretty excited about it. But I only just realise that I can't join in the fun in the morning. *sobsobsob* Super sad about it lo! Miss the first half action. =(

Plus Mrs Ho farewll gift is driving us (val and me) nuts! Completely not settled! And the only time I can do all that stuff is after my 'work' which I don't have any idea what time it would end. Sucks.

Looks like Valmond has to stand in for me this week =) Calling for the EXCO to help out to! Gentle reminder! The stuff we need to buy from NTUC for the BBQ needs to be settled by Wednesday! And most importantly no money no food! So do pay up the $10 ok! =) tsktsk!

Have been whinning from yesterday to now. ahhhhhh!!!! Do I really have to wait for so long then I can see him again? This is damn sucky! *boohoohoo*

Finally I go myself to the National Library today. The place is big! However I didn't go to visit every floor. My irritating brother was tagging along you see so I didn't bother to do so. Maybe next time...

December is coming and my tutorials are still on my desk remain untouched. I guess I got to do something about it soon. hehe! ya ssooooonnnn....

Tried the 100 push ups today. Not the standard one of course! My arms are still aching from yesterday 100+ times of uchikumi! No pain no gain? tsktsk!

Dars came online today! But kind of no point to me cause I don't think he uses msn. Pointless! Come to think of it he kind of swua ku! haha! But then how he communicate with his friends? *shrug*

Erm.. my entry today damn unorganise! Who cares! Emily Lim still hasn't send me the mail for my job attachment yet! And the thing is on Monday! Oh man! Okay. I ought to be damn grateful actually cause I applied for the thing super duper late and I actually got a place for it. It's sheer luck I tell you. If the she wasn't the one in charge for this whole thing I don't think I can even get in. Anyway, I'm still waiting...

Brother got back his results today. It's kind of sucky. Actually very sucky. It falls below our expectations. He merely got a 202 only. That's kind of pathetic seriously. It's neither here nor there. But I guess he's going to the Express stream.

Got more bruises for training today. Zzzz. Injured my right thumb plus there's another new ingury- my right arm. I realise that all me injuries lie on the right side. Right ankle, right knee, right arm, right thumb. =S
Practised quite a lot of harai goshi today but my stamina kind of go off after the Genting trip. Sianed. Tried this throw that kind of feels like makikomi today. Not too bad but that's because I can't exercute my harai goshi! Sucks!
Sulaiman was telling me this " Do 100 push ups a day la! Sure can win the tornament one!"
Er.. girl's style? haha! I doubt so! I think it's the standard one that he's talking about. Maybe I should really take his advise and do the push-ups. My arms are always wobbly so maybe it'ld help afterall.

Brother is going to get back his PSLE results in a few hours time. Kind of worried for him as how well he fares actually depends on his mood that day for the paper. Just hope he gets at least a 230 and that would be fine. *sigh*

Finally got my Jay's November Chopin! No regrets buying the original version! haha! But now I'm kinda broke already. The extra judo training which I had to pay $20 for (kind of bad to let mom pay everything so I'd decided to pay half of the fee myself) and Jay's CD $18.95. And whatsmore, the judo bbq, 4e2-04 chalet...
Arhhhhh!!!! I'm going broke in no time.

I'm back folks! Miss me?! =)
Alright I do miss my computer, my bed and of course my dear Singapore lots! I'm patrotic ok!

Genting's ok but real cold. And I'm getting a flu because of this. However, I just can't stand the amount of second hand smoke I'd been breathing in these past few days! I'm totally disgusted! How can these people smoke so much? Damn them. I don't care if they smoke actaully but I do when they harm my health. It's real ironic to see those people smoking right in front of a 'Non-smoking' sign. Sickening.

Anyway, Genting isn't as fun as I expected. There's merely the outdoor & indoor theme parks. (the indoor one is freaking kiddy) Plus some pathetic shops around. That's it. And the food there is damn expensive but they're like sucky!
Saw Jes & Eric there on Saturaday afternoon. They came over to my room to find my actually. tsktsk! So we went to play at the theme park somemore after lunch =)

Some of the rides are pretty cool but I didn't manage to ride off of them as it began to rain. Thinking back it's kind of not worth the money. Didn't take the Corkscrew is the biggest regret! (the roller coaster with 360 degrees double twist)
The Spaceshot is nice. It's real frightening when it took the first plunge down. Was screaming like shit cause I can feel my butt flying off the seat! Quan was too stunned to scream! haha!
Flying Coaster is ok. Kind of disappointing as it wasn't as thrilling and exciting as I expected. Got a 'superman' feeling when I'm on it though. hehe!
(You're supposed to lie on your front when you're on the ride.)
Spinner is not too bad and it's not called Spinner for nothing. Could enjoy the cool breeze while the ride was on.

Genting is no shopping paradise. The things there aren't exactly nice nor are they cheap. Ya, there're some nice & cheap stuff there but it's rather hard to find I guess. So didn't buy much stuff from there in the end.

Got myself into the casino. yaya. Just bluff my way through. The guard did stop me though but he just let me pass cause I'm with my mom and relatives. =) Alright, I don't like casino. That's it. The place is full of smokers and I can't stand it to bits! But it's more like a learning experience to see stuff in there. It's not much a difference from those shown on 'Las Vegas'. But it isn's that posh. haha.

What's with the "e: e" on the tagboard? Spasticness!

We finally had our combine training with CJC today! Can actually see that most of us are really excited and anticipate for this training to come. Everyone was extra early today! Imagine that the dojo was ready by 1pm and the training would only start at 3pm?! hahahaha! The dojo also seems extremely big today! We almost used all the new mats for god sake! The rest of the time was spent slacking around. However, Jeremy was hurt unfortunately while we were fooling around. His back didn't get better after that. He's like super disappointed lo. =(

And finally they came!

It's really quite awkward at first as we were really segregated. But it's pretty natural right? We weren't farmiliar with another. Did the usual training stuff and lots of uchikumi. It pretty cool as we got to train with the judokas from CJ. The randri's the best part I think. It's not that I'm sick but I think sparing is fun =) hahaha! Spared with almost all the girls from CJ. It's cool and fun! Really enjoyed my time training today.

Combine training is really useful to me I think. It really makes me realise and take more notice of my weakness and stuff that I got to improve on. Totally agreed with Justinee "The only way to improve fast is to spar with other people" *nodnod* It helps us to gain more experience and I believe would make me more pepared for competition. Especially for WOLS learner like me, the training is really necessary.
Not forgeting those CJ judokas, they're real friendly and nice =) It's a really great learning experience to have this combine training.

Jumped out of bed again. tsktsk! Thought that I could catch him in school thinking that he would be having paper in the morning today. Hurried to the canteen but no J2s there already then I realise that they're having Geography Paper today and that his paper would be tommorrow. So there's another chance to catch him in school tommorrow! =) hehe!
Saw someone that looks a lot like him today. Even Jes thought so too. haha! But Dars better looking of course! hahahahaha! But can't stop staring at him as he reminds me of Dars...

Going off to Genting tommorrow! I'm so excited! Yesyes, it's only Genting but that's better than nothing ok! Gotta pack my bag after that and charge all my electronic stuff first. Especially my batteries! Like what the PRC babes always say they're forever on 'sleeping mode' just like me! hehe!
Wouldn't be seeing my entry for the next few days I guess...

I was practically very full and tired yesterday so didn't have the mood to blog. So the Crappers finally had made it to Sakae @ Orchard yesterday after so long. But only Candy, Hong, Ahma, Jes and I turned up. Weiteng miss the outing again! Hmph! Jin has extra LEP classes.

Just simply love sushi a lot! Yummy! We ate like 50+ plates of sushi?! haha! We were like pigging ourselves yesterday *nodnod* I was feeling so fat after that! haha! Of course we can't possibly finish so much rice right? tsktsk! *wink* So we just ate the SALmond and stuff and just give our dearest Candy the rice. She just can't stop eating those rice right? >.< whahaha!!!

Really enjoyed yesterday's trip. =) Hey our ubin trip haven't confirm yet babes after crapping so much at Sakae yesterday! haha! We really made quite a din there but who cares! hehe!Must decide on the date ok? Then this time everyone must turn up and with our waterbags too!

I guess like I'm pretty confirmed that I would be droppping Economics already. My mind was completely shut during the lecture today. I admit I can't simply put myself in front of an office table and do analysis or accounting from 9am to 5pm. It would really bore me to death

I chose B. I really does reflect my pesonality. I would never say that 3 words to that someone until I'm like very sure his the one for me. I don't know what you may think but 'I love you' does have it's very special meaning in it and I think it should only be reserve for that special him =)

I woke up like super early compared to yesterday but still I didn't see him in the canteen! They were all in the hall by the time I reached the school compund. This sucks. If only I woke up early yesterday...*sobxsobx*
