She did try to get some of her work done but the prickling pain in her left eye was simply too much for her to handle. There was nothing White could do to help the poor lady. It simply stood there and stared blankly at Betty as she retreated to Black for the rest of the evening...
Betty know it herself that spectacles would be a must for her these couple of weeks. She deserved it. Wilhelmina's fashion logic is not meant for everyone; and Betty was definitely not one of them at this point of time. Well, the only condolence was that it came after her dates and appointments.
Betty almost gave in when she saw Henry's name on her cell. But a less-than-5 seconds- ringing definitely was not worth her time at this period of time. It had already been a terrible night for Betty and the call made it worse. She cursed beneath her breath as the screams of the Blondie echoed the entire room....
