I'd cleared the Nike+ Human Race!
*woots*
BUT... instead of the normal 10km that most people ran, I ran freaking 15km! This is so shitty man!
Well, I did a wrong turn after the 5km mark and went back the same route again. It didn't occur to me that I ran wrongly cause I recognized some runners who were in front of me that were making that turn too. Moreover, I saw Nizam running back from the route I was going to run (Nizam was wearing the Red tag so he should be ahead of me).
Yesyes, I know there's the kilometers marking for every kilometer we ran but I just assumed that they (the road marshals) have no time to change the '2km' to '4km' as the 2nd batch of runners had just started. I was almost in shock when I saw the '6km' sign. Zzzzz..
It certainly is the most unforgettable first Run. And yes, the silliest mistake of my life so far...
Blehx!

2008 Beijing Olympics had finally come to an end on Sunday and I'm missing all the actions already. Well, I thought it was a splendid show that the Chinese had put up. The opening and closing ceremonies were spectacular! If you missed them, you can jolly well can talk to my hand right now.
Anyway, school stuff had been keeping me damn freaking busy. Tests, revisions, project, council stuff, etc. Gosh! I really need more time man! Ahhh!!! I'm going to freak out damn soon.
Oh, before I forget, anyone keen to go for Standard Chartered Marathon? Yesyes, I haven't even complete the Nike+ Human Race and I'm already thinking of SCM. Well, it keeps me motivated to continue on my gym routine other than going there to gloat at that cute trainer =p
'Early birds Period' had ended already but it's still the 'Promo Period' till end of August. So please let me know alright? I'm thinking of doing the 10km or the half-marathon one. By the way, it's on 7th December (Sunday) =)

I'm glad that I'm getting the geese of all these 'thinking and listening in German' thing. Well, Thimm's class is as stressful as usual but he's definitely drilling us to speak like Germans. Anyway, we kind of digressed in class and started 'updating' ourselves on our teacher. All of us got a shocked when he told us she's 23! By the way, she looks more like his girlfriend man!
Okay, for your information, Thimm stands at approximately 1.8m; keeps his hair in a pony tail; wears 6 rings and has a real edgy and punky look.
"Is your daughter the cause underage sex?" one of my course-mates blurted out.
He was half smirking and laughing to himself and admitted to having lots of underage sex but he only had his daughter only at 19 (18 is the legal age). Did your sums? He's 42 but he sure doesn't look like one! He's secret to keeping young? Lots of sex!
Oh my gosh! I'm so jealous of his daughter man! He's like the coolest Dad I ever can imagine and would die to have! Well, at least I've the coolest German teacher for now! haha!

I'm still overwhelmed by Ayumi Tanimto's counter unchi-mata. That's an Ippon throw which was BEAUTIFULLY executed! She had completely stunned her opponent who is World number 1, Lucie Decosse of France. By the way, this will be her 2nd consecutive Gold medal.

This is the half-middle weight category that I'm talking about today. That means Tanimoto is playing -63 kg! Same as me! Haha!
Ahhh!!!
Alright, she's going to be my next idol after Tani =)
And guess what? German Ole Bischof won Korean Kim Jae-bum by a Yuko. This is Germany 1st Gold medal for Judo in these Games. This is so cool!

Well, I missed today's Lightweight matches due to German class but yesterday's Half-light weight matches were damn exciting. Lots of kata-guruma, tei-guruma & excellent counter throws that were being executed.
Chinese Judoka - Xian Dongmei had gotten her 2nd consecutive Gold medal. Similar to Tani, she returned to training after giving birth and this will also be her last Game. However, she had successfully defended her title!

Yes, I'm still upset over Tani's lost. She deserves more than a Bronze. Alright, back to the Half-light weight matches again. Masato Uchishiba had also defended his title! He did a counter and proceeded to a pin. Unknowingly, he had actually choked his opponent and eventually, won by a tapped-out! Sweet victory! And yes, Uchishiba looks extremely charming in the following photo ^^

I'd just finished watching the Men & Women Judo Extra Light Weight Category for the Beijing Olympics 2008. 2 unexpected champions were crowned - South Korea's Chio Minho & Romania's Alina Dumitru. However, not all matches were awesome.
The Women matches were a real disappointment. Ryoko Tani (formerly known as Ryoko Tamura) only got a Bronze when the Gold was within reach! The semi-finals of her and Romania's Alina Dumitru was really frustrating. Both of them were so defensive in their playing and in the end, it cost Tani her Gold.
Men are always men - aggressive in their playing style but it makes the matches more exciting to watch!
The finals more the Men -60kg was indeed the match of the day.
The te-guruma (leg-grab pick-up) by South Korea's Chio Minho (2nd from left) which scored an Ippon, was super brilliant! Despite loosing to Chio, opponent Ludwig Paischer from Austria (far left) is so full of sportsmanship and charming!!!! Well, Pasischer was helping the sobbing Chio from the mats to bow out after his win! Cool right?!
I'm so going to keep a look out for this Austrian in the future Judo matches! hehehehe! =)
