Borrowing the station from another colleague, Betty finally got her eye checked by the most casually dressed-up doctor. Nonetheless, it was the most amusing check-up ever. Ophthalmologists can be quite cute after-all ;)
'Beach Babe' job was boring. Sales were low, no one to talk to (she's doing the solo job in a hut) and most importantly, no eye candies! Actually, part of her was glad that there was hardly any. She looks horrible in that orange costume and nerdy glasses. In the meantime, she is engrossed in her fiction and non-fiction readings...Und naturlich, muss sie Deutsch überarbeiten.
There is still the appointment with Prof. Heng tomorrow afternoon. She has once again regain her sight. Last Thursday was really a scare for her. The only comforting lighting was Darkness. It was apparently due to the scrapping of her cornea by Doc. Yeo for testings. Yes, scrapping of her cornea with a freaking NEEDLE. Anyway, she is really crossing her fingers that the pictures of her cornea will look better tomorrow.
Today was her 3rd trip to TTSH. Yes, THIRD trip; and there will be the 4th one with Dr. Yeo tomorrow and 5th one with Prof. Heng on Monday. Isn't she lucky to have alerted the Professor? Gosh. She is definitely feeling the love.Apparently, her affection for contact lens may have alerted the rarely-seen Acanthamoebe, an eye parasite. Although the laser scan she had yesterday showed the nasty creature in her cornea, the test results are negative. That explains the continuous visits to the hospital and the stringent check-ups. Betty just hopes that her cornea is not infected by the parasite; but if it does, the prescribed eye drops will kill them away...
This had led her to a busy day at polyclinic and TTSH. Well, not exactly busy when she could not open her eyes and had to wait for hours before it was her turn.The verdict? She was almost awarded with cornea ulcer for her love of contact lens. That's it. No more pushing her luck any further.What a way to start anyone's holidays...
The exams were finally over for Betty!!!!Well, the last paper - Management Accounting, wasn't a really good end for her Year 1 in Uni. Nonetheless, she believes that "You reap what you sow" =)Before Betty officially goes into hibernation again, a visit to the optician is becoming a 'Must; for her. The swell on her left cornea isn't getting better; and what Isabelle had mentioned to her about all the eye stuff is kind of freaking her out now.Anyway, chocolate is out of her diet for at least 1 month. Her Poison No. 2 is kicking into her blood right now (Well, Poison No. 1 is none other than Mr. A). It simply means more runs, more pumps and more combat sessions to make up for her bitter sweet indulgence...
